On Niyi Osundare and a second-rate analysis.

Very disappointing.
All that white hair, all those accolades, so many well-chosen words and nary a mention of the "N" word (Neo-colonialism). Nor any reference to the fact that Nigeria today is just as enslaved and colonised as she was a hundred years ago.

The only difference between our enslavement in 1911 and today is to do with the sophistication of that enslavement. Then, it was obvious to us that we were a colony. There were white Europeans, mainly the British, openly running the country. Today, a new set of white Europeans called Americans run Nigeria in conjunction with British, Dutch and French interests. They do so through a corrupt, treacherous class of so-called Nigerians from all tribes and regions.

That's it, more or less.

All the Fasholas in the world will not change the status quo in Nigeria. Can't change it, won't change it. A mass uprising, a revolution - a blood-spattering, traitor-killing, chaff-burning, ground-up, grass-roots revolution - that is the only thing that can change the course of events in Nigeria right now. Or a military coup. Nothing else. Absolutely nothing else.

As long as Nigeria remains in it's current state of dependency, deliberately engineered dependency (economic dependency, political dependency,  intellectual dependency, military dependency, psychological dependency etc), for so long shall Nigeria wander in confusion and bewilderment - "from pillar to post", as the saying goes..

Remember that.
